These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between Keysey Movers (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) and any customer (“Client,” “you,” or “your”) who engages our moving services or uses our website. By accessing our website, requesting a quotation, or booking services, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by these Terms.
1.1 Keysey Moving provides residential and commercial moving, packing, and related services within British Columbia and surrounding areas.
1.2 All services are subject to availability and may be modified, refused, or terminated at our sole discretion.
2.1 Any quotation provided by us is an estimate only and is based on the information supplied by the Client.
2.2 Additional charges may apply if:
The scope of work differs from the information provided at the time of quotation;
There are delays outside of our control (e.g., elevator availability, traffic, weather);
Additional labor, equipment, or services are required.
2.3 Quotations are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
3.1 Bookings are confirmed only upon receipt of a deposit (where applicable) and written confirmation from the Company.
3.2 Deposits are non-refundable except as expressly provided in these Terms.
4.1 Cancellations must be made at least 72 hours prior to the scheduled service to avoid forfeiture of deposit.
4.2 Rescheduling is subject to availability and must be requested with reasonable notice.
4.3 The Company reserves the right to cancel or reschedule services due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to unsafe conditions, equipment failure, or extreme weather.
The Client agrees to:
Ensure that all goods are properly packed, labeled, and ready for transport unless packing services are included.
Provide clear and safe access to premises, elevators, and parking areas.
Disclose any hazardous, illegal, or restricted items (which we reserve the right to refuse to transport).
Be present or represented during pickup and delivery.
6.1 While we exercise due care in handling goods, the Company is not liable for:
Loss or damage to items not properly packed by the Client.
Loss or damage arising from inherent defects, pre-existing damage, or fragility of items.
Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits or business interruption.
6.2 Our liability for any claim shall not exceed the lesser of:
The replacement or repair value of the item, or
The total fees paid for the service in question.
6.3 Optional valuation coverage or insurance may be available upon request at an additional charge.
7.1 Payment is due in full upon completion of services, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
7.2 Accepted payment methods include cash or e-transfer only.
7.3 Interest at a rate of 2% per month (24% per annum) may be charged on overdue accounts.
The Company shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing services due to events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, accidents, labor disputes, or governmental actions.
The Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Company, its employees, and contractors from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of the Client’s breach of these Terms, unlawful conduct, or negligence.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia.
We reserve the right to amend or update these Terms at any time without prior notice. Updated versions will be posted on our website, and continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of such changes.
